Jimmie Vinn Byrd passed away to be with his Lord and Savior on February 12, 2020 in Azle, Texas.  Jimmie was born on July 20, 1946 to his parents, Herman Eudelma Byrd and Agnes Lovetta Gallagher in Houston, Texas.  

Jimmie will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. He was a loving husband to his dear wife, Vickie. We honor Jimmie's sacrifice made to our great Nation as he honorably served our United Sates Air Force during the Vietnam era. After his honorable discharge, Jimmie would also serve as a Peace officer and later retired as a Master Mechanic. Jimmie enjoyed fishing and the peace and tranquility of the outdoors. Jimmie, like many grandparents, loved spending time with his grandchildren. They brought a spark of joy to his life. Jimmie was a good man who loved his Lord and Savior. He was a man who met few strangers. The family will hold his memory in their hearts forever.

Jimmie is survived by his loving wife Vickie Byrd; his daughters, Kimberly Miller, Stephanie Jones, Tina Henderson, and Kelly Orr; his sons, Greg Byrd and J.C. Byrd; his eleven grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; along with other loving family members and dear friends.

Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, Herman Byrd and Agnes Benton, and his daughter Angela Marie Byrd.

All services will be held at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home Chapel, 850 North Cardinal Road Azle, Texas 76020.

A Visitation Service will be held on Friday February 14, 2020 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 15, 2020 at 4:00pm.
